For Stir-Frying

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by thoroughly washing the bok choy under cold running water to remove any dirt. Slice the stalks into bite-sized pieces, and separate the leaves.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, pour in about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and heat it over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add 2-3 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger to the hot skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Toss the bok choy stalks into the skillet and stir-fry for approximately 2 minutes until slightly tender but still crunchy.
  5. Add the separated bok choy leaves to the skillet and continue stir-frying for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  6. Combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of red chili flakes, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil in a small bowl.
  7. Pour the prepared ginger chili sauce over the bok choy in the skillet and toss gently to ensure an even coating.
  8. Season the dish with salt and black pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
