Ingredients

For the Seafood
  • 1 lb Jumbo Shrimp raw and peeled
  • 1 lb Crab Clusters (Snow Crab) pre-cooked
For the Sausage and Vegetables
  • 1 lb Andouille Sausage or kielbasa as a substitute
  • 2 cups Potatoes small and waxy, quartered
  • 2 ears Corn on the Cob cut into pieces
  • 4 large Eggs hard-boiled
For the Broth
  • 3 tbsp Cajun Spices
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Beer pale lager or IPA
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 1 cup Butter unsalted
  • 4 cloves Garlic freshly minced

Equipment

  • large pot
  • small saucepan
  • Colander

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by cleaning and peeling your jumbo shrimp, cutting the potatoes into quarters, and slicing the corn. Hard-boil your eggs in advance and gather your spices.
  2. In a large pot, combine enough water to cover your ingredients with beer. Add Cajun spices, Old Bay, and minced garlic, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, add quartered potatoes and sliced sausage. Cook for 10-15 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender.
  4. Carefully add shrimp, crab clusters, corn, and hard-boiled eggs into the pot. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat and stir in minced garlic until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Drain the seafood boil while keeping the main ingredients intact and serve on a large platter or lined with newspaper. Drizzle garlic butter sauce over the top.
