Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour can substitute with cake flour or whole wheat
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3/4 cup Water use warm water for better incorporation
Filling
  • 1 pound Ground Meat pork, chicken, or tofu
  • 1 cup Chopped Vegetables such as cabbage, carrots, or mushrooms
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger minced or ground
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce low-sodium recommended
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
Frying
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil can substitute with canola or sesame oil
Dipping Sauce
  • Soy Sauce to taste
  • Chili Oil to taste
  • Vinegar to taste
  • Garlic to taste
  • Lime Juice to taste

Method
 

Dumpling Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while mixing, knead until smooth and elastic.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Mix ground meat, chopped vegetables, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil in a bowl until combined.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into pieces, shape each into a circle, fill with a teaspoon of filling, and seal.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet, fry dumplings until golden, add water, cover, and steam until cooked.
  6. Serve hot with dipping sauce and garnish with green onions.
