Ingredients

For the Pizza Base
  • 1 package Pizza Dough Store-bought or homemade
For the Toppings
  • 2 medium Pears Firm and ripe
  • 1 cup Ricotta Alternatively, use mascarpone
  • 1/2 cup Pecorino Can substitute with Parmesan
  • 1 ounce Fresh Black Truffle Or truffle oil as a substitute
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup can be used as an alternative

Equipment

  • Oven
  • pizza stone
  • Baking Sheet
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by rolling out your pizza dough on a floured surface, aiming for a 12-inch round. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C), placing a pizza stone inside if available.
  2. Transfer the rolled dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel. Evenly dollop the ricotta across the surface of the dough, followed by thinly sliced pears. Sprinkle shredded pecorino cheese generously over everything.
  3. Carefully slide the prepared pizza into the preheated oven or onto the hot pizza stone. Bake for 12–15 minutes, keeping an eye on the crust as it turns golden brown.
  4. Once the pizza is baked, remove it from the oven. Shave fresh black truffle over the hot pizza and drizzle with honey before slicing.
