- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing it.
- Combine melted butter and cocoa powder in a bowl, stir until smooth; add sugar, then eggs, mixing well.
- Sift in flour and add vanilla extract, fold into the mixture carefully.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; mix in the egg until combined.
- Layer half of the brownie batter in the pan, add half of the cheesecake mixture, and repeat. Swirl together.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft; cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
- Slice into squares and serve warm or chilled, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
