Step-by-Step Instructions for Healthy Orange Chicken
  1. In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces with baking soda, salt, orange juice, soy sauce, black pepper, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili garlic sauce. Add cornstarch, orange zest, garlic, ginger, red chili flakes, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken in a single layer and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Pour sauce over the cooked chicken and stir. Let it simmer on medium-low heat for an additional 5 minutes to thicken.
  5. Stir in sesame seeds and green onions before serving. Serve warm over cooked rice and with steamed broccoli.
