Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, minced garlic, onion, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 ½ inches in diameter, yielding approximately 20 to 24 meatballs. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the oven for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown.
- While they bake, whisk together the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs from the oven, place them in a bowl, and pour the warm sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley or thyme and enjoy!
