Biscuit Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in fresh blueberries, dusted lightly with flour.
- Create a well in the mixture and pour in buttermilk; stir gently until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.
- Using a biscuit cutter, cut out rounds and place them on the baking sheet.
- Brush melted butter over the tops of the biscuits.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
- Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes, optionally glaze before serving.
