Preparation Steps
  1. Combine 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and ½ cup of melted unsalted butter in a bowl. Stir until resembling wet sand. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat 1 block of softened cream cheese and 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  3. Layer sliced bananas over the cream cheese layer, followed by 1 cup of drained crushed pineapple.
  4. Spread 8 oz of frozen whipped topping over the fruit layer, creating soft swirls for texture.
  5. Garnish with chopped peanuts and maraschino cherries on top.
  6. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
