- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the cabbage into thick ½ inch rounds and brush both sides with olive oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. If using, add the egg and mix well.
- Form the meat mixture into patties the same size as the cabbage rounds and place each patty on top of a cabbage slice.
- Bake the burgers for about 25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the cabbage is tender.
- If using cheese, sprinkle it on the patties and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Let the burgers rest for a minute before serving with fresh parsley and your favorite dipping sauces.
