  • 1 large Egg optional, for binding

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick ½ inch rounds and brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. If using, add the egg and mix well.
  4. Form the meat mixture into patties the same size as the cabbage rounds and place each patty on top of a cabbage slice.
  5. Bake the burgers for about 25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the cabbage is tender.
  6. If using cheese, sprinkle it on the patties and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the burgers rest for a minute before serving with fresh parsley and your favorite dipping sauces.
