Step-by-Step Instructions for Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat two tablespoons of olive oil. Add diced green bell pepper and onion, and sauté for about 5 minutes until soft.
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix until just combined.
- Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a greased loaf pan. Layer provolone cheese over it, add sautéed vegetables, then cover with the remaining meat mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Optionally, top with additional cheese in the last 5 minutes.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes
Allowing the meatloaf to rest ensures it stays juicy and holds its shape when sliced.
