  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree use pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 4 slices Thick Bread preferably brioche or challah
For Serving
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for dusting
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup for drizzling
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth and well blended.
  2. Heat a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium heat, about 350°F, for 3-5 minutes until hot, greasing lightly with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Dip thick slices of bread into the pumpkin egg mixture, soaking for 10-15 seconds on each side.
  4. Cook soaked bread slices on the preheated pan for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Transfer cooked French Toast to a serving plate, dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with maple syrup, and top with whipped cream if desired.
