Step-by-Step Instructions for Mexican Layered Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 pound of ground beef for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix in 1 cup of salsa and the rinsed black beans, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Layer half of the tortillas in the greased baking dish.
  6. Spread half of the beef mixture over the tortillas, then add half of the corn and shredded cheese.
  7. Repeat the layering process with remaining tortillas, beef mixture, corn, and cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
