- Slice the beef liver into even pieces, about 1/2 inch thick, and thinly slice the onions.

- Carefully place the sliced beef liver in the skillet and sear for approximately 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown but slightly pink in the center.
- Remove the beef liver and add the sliced onions, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes until soft and caramelized.
- Return the beef liver to the skillet with onions, season with salt, pepper, and thyme, and warm together for another minute.
