Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the beef liver into even pieces, about 1/2 inch thick, and thinly slice the onions.
  2. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add 20 grams of butter or oil and let it melt.
  3. Carefully place the sliced beef liver in the skillet and sear for approximately 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown but slightly pink in the center.
  4. Remove the beef liver and add the sliced onions, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes until soft and caramelized.
  5. Return the beef liver to the skillet with onions, season with salt, pepper, and thyme, and warm together for another minute.
  6. Serve the beef liver with onions immediately, optionally garnished with additional thyme.
