Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the tops from sugar pumpkins and scoop out seeds.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add ground turkey to skillet, cook until browned, then season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Stir in wild rice, Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream until mixed.
  5. Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan, brown it, then add sage and fry until crispy.
  6. Stuff each pumpkin with the turkey filling, top with crispy sage and pecans.
  7. Place tops back on pumpkins in a baking dish with water, bake for 45-60 minutes.
  8. Let pumpkins cool for 10 minutes before serving.
