Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with aluminum foil. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and inner pith. Lay the halved jalapenos on the prepared baking tray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  4. Generously fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, creating a nice mound.
  5. Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and separate into rectangles by sealing the seams. Slice each rectangle into thin strips.
  6. Wrap the cheese-stuffed jalapenos with dough strips, overlapping them to create a mummy look.
  7. Arrange wrapped jalapenos on the baking tray and brush egg wash over the dough strips.
  8. Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let cool slightly and decorate with candy eyeballs or sliced olives.
