- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unwrap the Hershey Kisses and set them aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet mixture until a soft cookie dough forms.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, roll in sanding sugar, and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 7 minutes until lightly golden.
- Immediately press a Hershey Kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from oven.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
