- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut your chosen bread into slices about half an inch thick.
- Spread a generous layer of cream cheese onto each slice of bread.
- Unwrap the string cheese and pull it apart into thin strips. Drape over the cream cheese, leaving gaps for the eyes.
- Bake the prepared Mummy Toast for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is slightly melted and the edges are golden.
- Dollop pumpkin purée in the center of each piece after baking.
- Place olive slices or almonds on top of the pumpkin purée to create eyes.
- Keep Mummy Toast warm until serving. Enjoy with pumpkin soup if desired.
