  • 4 slices Bread Sourdough or whole grain
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Herbed recommended
For the Mummy Wrappings
  • 2 sticks String Cheese Substitute with mozzarella sticks if desired
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Purée Add natural sweetness
For the Eyes
  • 1/4 cup Olives (black or green) Sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Sliced Almonds

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut your chosen bread into slices about half an inch thick.
  2. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese onto each slice of bread.
  3. Unwrap the string cheese and pull it apart into thin strips. Drape over the cream cheese, leaving gaps for the eyes.
  4. Bake the prepared Mummy Toast for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is slightly melted and the edges are golden.
  5. Dollop pumpkin purée in the center of each piece after baking.
  6. Place olive slices or almonds on top of the pumpkin purée to create eyes.
  7. Keep Mummy Toast warm until serving. Enjoy with pumpkin soup if desired.
